Job Description:
The Leasing Specialist is responsible for coordinating the community's marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals by performing all activities related to leasing to new residents, providing resident satisfaction throughout the term of the lease, and securing resident lease renewals.
Responsibilities:
In this role, the Leasing Specialist can be expected to respond to all incoming requests for information from prospective residents. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Responding to all incoming emails/electronic inquiries
- Scheduling viewing appointments
- Touring the property with prospective residents
- Follow up with all prospective residents
- All leasing paperwork and property policies
- Assisting with move-in procedures and scheduling
- Assisting the Property Manager/Assistant Manager with any and all tasks required
- Answering questions and assisting with all current and renewal leases
- Submitting management and resident work order requests
- Light filing/office management (as needed)
Requirements:
- 1-2 years Leasing or community management experience. (Applicants with strong sales background will also be considered)
- 1-2 years customer service experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to multi-task efficiently
- Some night and weekend hours may be required. Background check and pre-employment drug test required.
Compensation & Benefits:
The selected candidate will participate in an aggressive compensation program inclusive of an hourly rate of pay along with commission and a lease renewal bonus program. This candidate will also enjoy the benefits of a Paid Time Off policy, be offered health and dental benefit options as well as the option of participating in a retirement program. A background check and pre-employment drug test will be run on the selected candidate.
