Hotel/Property Manager

Searching for a Hotel/Property Manager at our vacation rental property in Middletown, RI. In this role you will be responsible for working towards maintaining a high and stable guest occupancy rate for the property.

Position qualifications:

  • Hotel or property management experience

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service

  • Self driven, positive attitude, energetic and flexible

  • Possess the desire to motivate, have fun and be part of a team of professionals

  • Must be available to work weekends, some holidays, and on call

  • Proficiency in MS Office; Yardi experience a plus

  • Outstanding References

  • Excellent communication skills

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and motivate on-site employees including office staff and maintenance team

  • Maintain unit and property appearance and manage all housekeeping and inventory needs.

  • Help recommend and establish vacation rental rates by surveying local rates, observing market trends, and calculating property operating expenses

  • Assist in attracting new bookings by advertising vacancies, obtaining referrals, explaining advantages of location and services, showing units, following up with clients and various other marketing initiatives all in an effort to exceed occupancy goals

  • Enforce human resource policies and procedures and document employee violations in accordance with company policy

  • Manage a budget and accomplish financial objectives by managing bills/invoices, analyzing monthly financial statements, forecasting expenditures, assisting in preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing budget versus actual expense variances and initiating corrective action

  • Maintain property by conducting daily unit and common area inspections, investigate and resolve guest concerns, enforce rules of occupancy, ensure that needed repairs are completed, plan renovations; contract with vendors for required services

  • Prepare required reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations


  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • 2 years' experience in hotel operations, property management or sales and reservations management

  • Background check and pre-employment drug test required
